We still don’t talk enough about perimenopause and this can leave us surprised and isolated when it hits.
Perimenopause is a time when our bodies are physically changing. The drop of hormones in the lead up to menopause impacts absolutely every system in our body – it’s not just about ovaries, a uterus and periods stopping! These changes unbalance us physically, mentally and emotionally.
It’s also a time of change and reflection. Like any transitions this can bring fear and grief to the surface.
Whatever you are experiencing if you need someone to navigate this time with you then counselling with Raging Gracefully might be for you!

Raging Gracefully Counselling sessions:
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes and can be telehealth or ‘Walk and Talk’ sessions.
We can decide together on a location that suits for ‘Walk and Talk’ sessions.
Walking sessions are not fast (you pick the pace!), they are a way to gently move while we chat. If walking for 50 mins is too long, we can walk for a shorter period and find a park bench to relax and continue our session. It is really about adding some movement and time in nature to counselling.
Our telehealth sessions can be held on your phone, laptop or other device. It is important that you have somewhere private to be and feel free to talk openly during our sessions.
I utilise a range of modalities, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I also have a keen interest in somatic therapies – ways to reset the nervous system away from Fight or Flight and back to Rest and Digest. I also find psychosocial education can be helpful because understanding what is happening to you is powerful and enables you to make the best decisions for you!
